FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

Parents are asked to contribute towards the cost of the Faith Development program by paying fees of $100 per child per year, up to a maximum of $250. (This is reduced to $50 if the child joins the program in January or later.) However, the parish does not wish to lay heavy burdens upon families for whom this sum is difficult to find. Families may apply for help in paying these fees by either spreading payments throughout the year, or reducing the total amount to be paid, or both.

In order to be considered for a scholarship, financial assistance, or a fee payment schedule, you must complete the Scholarship and Financial Assistance Request Form, available on-line or from the Office of Faith Development. You must be a registered St. Thomas More parishioner to be considered for this program. The Office of Faith Development honors stewardship in the form of time and talent as well as treasures. Therefore Full-time Catechists, Catechist Assistants, and Volunteers receive free tuition for their children. Please prayerfully consider sharing your time and talent with the youth of our parish.

FEE PAYMENT SCHEDULE:

We appreciate full payment of fees upon registration because all supplies must be purchased in advance. However, families may apply for a quarterly fee payment schedule consisting of 4 equal payments, as follows:

First Payment: at Registration in August
Second payment: October 15 2007
Third Payment: January 7, 2008
Final Payment: March 18, 2008

Those who fall behind in their quarterly payments will receive a ‘reminder’ notice.

SCHOLARSHIP and FINANCIAL ASSISTANT REQUEST:

Families may request a reduction of fees to an affordable level, and in cases of particular need, may even pay nothing.
