Elementary Catechists Needed for 2008/2009

The positions we need to fill each year for Elementary Faith Development are:

  • Grade Level Catechist
  • Assistant Catechist
  • Musician
  • RCIA-C Catechist
  • Office Volunteer
  • Bilingual Hospitality (welcoming and assisting Hispanic families)
  • Substitute Catechist

We also need volunteers for:

  • Substitute Catechists
  • Weekday office help
  • Fifth Grade Game Night
  • Reconciliation and Eucharist Retreats
  • Other occasional events

We have three priorities for strengthening the program in the coming year. Please prayerfully consider if you have the gifts and the calling to these areas of catechesis:

  1. RCIA Adapted for Children – preparing children of catechetical age (seven or older) for Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist. Bilingual catechists especially needed
  2. Sacramental Preparation for older children – 6th Grade or older. Bilingual catechists especially needed
  3. Music – singers, keyboard players, other instrumentalists
