Mission Statement/Purpose
The Chelsea Chimes is our parish handbell choir, comprised of men and women high school age and older. The Chelsea Chimes help to enhance and support our community prayer experience through the performance of handbell music during weekend Masses and Feast Day Masses.
Major Accomplishments
The Chelsea Chimes plays a vital role in supporting our community prayer experience by performing a diverse repertoire of handbell music for weekend and Feast Day Masses. The Chelsea Chimes also participates in the annual Capital Area Handbell Festival, an event where approximately 40 handbell choirs come together to rehearse music and receive additional instruction on handbell ringing techniques from distinguished handbell composers and choir directors. The Chelsea Chimes also represents our parish to the surrounding community by presenting concerts 1-2 times per year at places such as University Mall, Carolina Inn, and various retirement communities.
