The Community Life Ministries promote the celebration of life and community in our parish and enable parishioners to look to St. Thomas More as a focal point for their social relationships. The Community Life ministries bring parishioners together in prayer, service, celebration, and recreation, strengthening the social bonds among them and building on the foundation of an active parish community.

Catholic Women's Book Club
This group meets once every three weeks for social time and to reflect on various books regarding the Catholic Faith and issues facing our world today. Call or email Karen Lewis at 919-929-0651.

Dinner Club

Faith Connections on Mental Illness
Faith Connections on Mental Illness was established in 2008 to provide education, understanding and comfort to those suffering from mental illness, their families, our parish, other interfaith communities and our local community. Committee members provide education about mental illness, eliminate stigma and offer faith, hope and understanding for those dealing now, or in the past, with mental illness. Meetings take place the last Friday of every month. Contact Donna Olsen at 942-6227.

Funeral Committee
Provide receptions for families who have funeral Masses or ceremonies at STM. Volunteers plan, prepare food, set up, serve and clean up after receptions. Call or email Marianne Wolf at 919-732-4915.

Intercessory Prayer Team
Members of this team will pray once a month for the needs of our parishioners who have made specific prayer requests to the St. Thomas More Parish Office. Intercession will include reading from Scripture and from a book by the author, Joy Lamb, entitled “The Sword of the Spirit, the Word of God”.  The Team meets on the second Monday of each month from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.  Call or email Anneke Jakes at 919-542-1548.

Iron Sharpens Iron Men's Fellowship
Through meeting weekly for fellowship, Scripture study, discussion, and prayer (as well as service projects, BBQs, etc) we strive to help each other grow into the husbands, fathers, workers, citizens, and disciples that God is calling us to be. Call or email Peter Hynes at 919-452-2851.

Jobs Network Ministry
Support group meets at 8:30 AM on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month in the Youth House to help those with job or career search and related activities such as networking, resumes, and interviewing skills. Call or email Mike Komives at 919-794-8158.

Knights of Columbus, Council 10910
A religious fraternal men's group that supports local mentally and physically handicapped and disabled children through fundraising campaigns and personal support. Meet 3rd Wednesday of month, 7:30 p.m. Call or email John Felten at 919.248.5688.

Knights of Columbus (Divine Mercy Assembly)
Knights of the Fourth Degree focus on promoting patriotism, citizenship, and on religious education and works. They will also promote Divine Mercy, Divine Mercy Sunday, John Paul II Institute of Divine Mercy, and the Marians of the Immaculate Conception. Men’s Club
Volunteers raise funds for parish outreach ministries and STM School needs, including scholarships, primarily through monthly Pancake Breakfasts. Meets 7:30 p.m. on 1st Wednesday of month. New members are enthusiastically welcome! Call or email Terry Crook at 919-929-6844.

Polish-American Club
Members meet 1st Wednesday of month during school year to engage in social, educational and cultural activities, promote Polish traditions, and to learn or improve Polish language skills. Call or email Les Mazur at 919-593-1396.

Social Committee
Members coordinate, obtain, prepare and serve food and beverages at parish gatherings. Volunteers welcome parishioners, set up and clean up at receptions and socials. Call or email Kathy Callisher at 919-929-1038.

Welcome Committee

Women's Group
Spirituality, sociability and service are goals of this ministry, whose members meet the first Tuesday of each month for a Communion Service, followed by lunch and discussion of parish needs and opportunities to volunteer. Call or email Harriet Melvin at 919-929-4921.

Young Adults
