Marriage Enrichment: 6 Great Date Nights based the book, Happy Together by John Bosio. Great Date Nights are an opportunity for couples to have time out to build their marriage and to enrich their relationship. It’s a unique program that combines fun dates and marriage education skills. Each session begins with a short date launch (approximately 20 minute segment on DVD) where the theme or skill for that particular date is introduced. Then couples go off to experience their own “great date” and discuss the particular theme or skill. Dates will be on: September 17 and 24; October 8 and 29; November 12 and 19. They begin at 7:00 pm in Founders Room at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 11401 Leesville Rd. Registration is required and child care is provided (included in the cost of the program -$35.00).  For more information, you may call Gladys Whitehouse at 847-8205x244 or visit our website at www.stfrancisraleigh.org.

2010 Parish Social Ministry Training Day

"Our Journey Together" on Saturday, September 25 at St. Mary Mother of the Church in Garner, 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM.

Why should I attend?

  • To better understand the social mission of the Church and how it can be lived in our parishes
  • To explore ways we can affect positive change in our parishes and neighborhoods, our state, our country, our world and in ourselves
  • To learn practical and applicable ways to do parish social ministry
  • To confirm the importance of the social mission of the Church as a key part of Catholic identity
  • To be in communion with fellow Catholics who do parish social ministry, gaining support and ideas from them
