Faith Development
The Faith Development ministries at The Catholic Community of St. Thomas More provide educational, spiritual and catechetical programs for children, youth, young adults, and adults. Our goal is to provide all ages with opportunities for knowledge of Christian living, the Catholic faith and sacramental preparation. We seek to form a parish that is vitally alive in faith and which exemplifies the love of God, and to form faithful members who actively cultivate a lively Baptismal and Eucharistic spirituality with a powerful sense of mission and apostolate.
The Faith Development program serves children and youth in Grades Pre-K to 12. Elementary Faith Development (Pre-K to 5th) hosts two sessions on Sunday morning, and Junior High Youth Ministry (JYM; 6th to 8th) and High School Youth Ministry (TYM; 9th to 12th) meet on Sunday evenings. As well as providing catechesis, and social and service opportunities, Faith Development includes sacramental preparation for First Reconciliation, First Eucharist, and Confirmation, and preparation for Christian Initiation for children of seven years or older.
