Welcome to High School Youth Ministry at St. Thomas More!

"I die the King's good servant but God's First!"  St. Thomas More

St. Thomas More uttered these words before he was beheaded in 1535 by King Henry VIII rather than compromising his faith and integrity! (to learn more about St. Thomas More click here  ) It is our hope in High School Youth Ministry to form our young people with the same strength of character, humility, and wisdom of our patron.  This is a man who had his priorities right!  We hope that our youth will learn that God needs to be first in all aspects of their lives, whether it be at school, on the playing field, watching MTV, on the Internet, listening to their iPod, at the Mall or just hanging with their friends.  We want to call our youth into a radical friendship with Christ.  The word "radical" has many meanings but it originally meant "to be rooted".  We want our youth to be "rooted" in the person and mission of Jesus Christ!  By placing God First in the lives of youth, we hope to form them into Christians who live out Gospel values in a world that needs the light of Christ more than ever!
