Altar Servers
The role of the Altar Server is to assist the presider during Liturgical celebrations. Volunteers supervise existing Altar Servers and train new servers (4th grade and up) for Masses and ceremonies. Call Juan Carlos Perez at 919-572-0795 or 919-236-7721.

Baptism Preparation
Help parents and godparents prepare for responsibilities and liturgy of this first Sacrament. Volunteers present Church teachings and responsibilities as well as logistics of the baptismal liturgy. Children's Liturgy of the Word (CLOW)
Children ages 4-8 years gather during the homily at Sunday Mass to hear and reflect on the Word of God, and to pray according to their age of faith development. Call or email Sara Vidal at 919-923-5000.

Eucharistic Ministers
Members assist the presider in distributing the Eucharist at all Masses. Some also minister to the sick and homebound. Ongoing training is offered. Call or email Luis Royo at 919-942-6239.

Funeral Committee
Members provide receptions for families who have funeral Masses or ceremonies at STM. Volunteers plan, prepare food, set up, serve and clean up after receptions. Ministry leader position is available. Call or email (Rev.) Romen Acero at 919-942-6231.

Hospital Visitation 
 Members visit and bring the Eucharist to Catholics who are in UNC and Duke Hospitals and wish to receive Holy Communion. Call Ismael Galvan at 919-923-5217.

Hospitality and Welcome

Lectors

Latino Health Fair
An annual event providing free health screening and information to the area’s Spanish speaking population. Volunteers are needed to coordinate agencies, publicity, food and entertainment and meets twice a month for the three months preceding the Spring event. Translators, set-up and clean-up volunteers are needed the day of the Fair. Contact Kathy Roundtree.

Marriage Preparation
An annual event providing free health screening and information, targeting the area’s Spanish speaking population. This is a married couple ministry that serves to support engaged couples preparing for the Sacrament of Matrimony. During the six months of preparation, the married couples help engaged couples complete forms required by the Diocese, share their experience of their sacramental married life with the engaged couple, and spend several evenings helping interpret the FOCCUS tool engaged couples take to prepare for their upcoming wedding and lifetime together. Mass Coordinators

RCIA (Initiation Ministry)
The catechumenate provides pastoral formation and guidance aimed at training in the Christian life those adults who are seeking baptism in the Catholic Church. The entire community is invited to participate in the celebration of this sacrament of initiation. Call Douglas Cruz at 919-883-6374.

Rosary Ministry 
To promote and spread devotion to the Virgin Mary, through praying of the Rosary, in the certainty that She is our best intercessor. To fortify the family unit in the premise that “The Family that says the Rosary remains always united”. The group meets on Thursdays at 7:00 p.m., in the Youth House. Sister Parish Steering Committee
