Justice United

... is the new name for the Orange County Organizing Committee, also known as "Orange Juice" (Justice United In Community Effort), is an independent, non-partisan, non-profit organization directed by a team of leaders from participating institutions and served by a professional organizing staff. Justice United is affiliated with the Industrial Areas Foundation the oldest and largest community organizing network in the Country.

250 people, representing 23 institutions publicly launched the Orange Country Organizing Committee on April, 2008 (after a 2 year organizing process), and adopted the organizations first Agenda for the Common Good. The Agenda focuses on six priorities:

  1. education
  2. health care
  3. environmental justice
  4. living wages
  5. immigrant families
  6. affordable housing
