Mission Statement/Purpose
Project HomeStart delivers healthy, well balanced dinners to the HomeStart Shelter for women and their children.

Major Accomplishments
We have volunteers of all ages and interests, and we deliver 12- 14 dinners per month to the shelter.

Major Activity
Prepare and deliver dinners to HomeStart.

Meeting Frequency
This is a very flexible ministry, and we have no meetings. We communicate by phone or email. We try to deliver meals anytime that the shelter needs them, according to our volunteers’ schedules. The volunteers pick a frequency with which they would like to prepare dinners, and they choose which day of the week works best for them. Some of our volunteers cook on a monthly basis, others every other month, or once a quarter; whatever works best for the volunteers is how we like to schedule them.

Meeting Venue
We have no meetings; all the serving is at HomeStart.

Estimated Time Commitment for Volunteers
Volunteers need to plan a meal, shop for the ingredients, prepare the meal (at their house or the Shelter’s kitchen), and deliver the meal.

Special Skills
A love to cook, and a love to help.
