Stimulate Economic Justice
In the next few weeks we should all be receiving federal tax rebates aimed at stimulating the economy. In recent weeks, several Church congregations have challenged their members to donate all or part of their rebate to organizations that foster peace and justice, or the relief of poverty - to stimulate economic justice.
At St. Thomas More the JustFaith group, which throughout this year has been studying Catholic Social teaching, is asking people to donate this money to support the Inter Faith Council Food Bank, which is in great need at this time of the year.
Therefore we are asking you to prayerfully consider what you can give, and then drop a check or cash into a basket at the back of Church during the month of May. Please make checks out to St. Thomas More, and add IFC in the memo line.
