Roger Petrich has a Bachelor of Music, magna cum laud, from St Olaf College, with special studies in choral conducting and organ performance. After further studies in composition with Leo Sowerby at the American Conservatory of Music, Chicago and the College of Church Musicians, Washington DC, Mr Petrich studied at the Berlin School of Church Music with Ernst Pepping, and Helmut Rilling. At the University of Iowa he completed the Master of Arts and Master of Fine Arts degrees. From the American Guild of Organists, he holds the Service Playing Certificate, Colleague and Associate Certificate [AAGO], as well as the Choir Master Certificate [ChM]. Mr Petrich’s compositions have been published by Oxford University Press, Morningstar, GIA, and Selah Music Publications. He became the Director of Music here at St Thomas More in July 2000.
