Father John Durbin has been pastor of St. Thomas More since 1999. He was ordained a priest on July 21, 1979. He earned his (Licentiate in Sacred Theology) in Spirituality at the Pontifical Gregorian University, after having completed his seminary at the North American College in Rome. His previous appointments include Instructor of Theology at St. Francis College in Loretto, Pennsylvania (1982-1985), Pastor of Newman Catholic Student Center Parish at (1986-1989), and Pastor of St. Patrick Parish in Fayetteville (1989-1999). He has been a member of and speaker for the North American Forum on the Catechumenate since 1986. Since 1994 he has served as Coordinator of Continuing Education for Clergy of the Diocese of Raleigh.
