Father James Labosky has been serving St. Thomas More as the Parochial Vicar since June 2011. Fr. Labosky was ordained a priest of the Diocese of Raleigh in 1979. Father Labosky has served as Executive Director of the Office on Aging in Northumberland County PA and as pastor of parishes in Henderson, Raleigh, Wilson, and Wilmington, NC. In addition, Fr. Labosky has served as staff Chaplain at the VA Medical Center in Northport, NY. He recently served as Health Care Minister in Moore County and Priest in Residence at Sacred Heart Parish in Pinehurst.
Fr. Labosky enjoys reading, cooking, teaching and being a priest. He also enjoys walking with his Chocolate Lab “Lizzy” and taking her to swim at the local lake. Father Labosky looks forward to serving the parish community with Fr. McCue and the staff at St. Thomas More.
Fr. Labosky resides at the Robert Southwell House, a diocesan owned residence in Chapel Hill.
