Laura Stewart joined the St. Thomas More staff in April 2007 as the Facilitator of Lay Ministries.   She has been a member of St. Thomas More since 1986, though she attended STM during college in the 70s.  A native of Queens in NY and graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill (BS in Zoology), Laura returned to UNC for pharmacy school and has called Chapel Hill home ever since.  She and her husband, Chris, were married in 1981 and have two sons who attend STM School.   Laura was employed as a pharmacist and research administrator at Duke University Medical Center and Health System from 1980 until her retirement in April 2007.  Over the years she has been actively involved in many ministries at STM and was 2005-06 president of the Home and School Association.
