Mission Statement/Purpose
Our mission is to bring comfort to our wounded troops returning from the wars on terror by covering them with a quilt (aka Quilts of Valor). We want them to know that the “home front” cares about them and we thank them for their service.
Major Accomplishments
So far we have made three deliveries to the 'Warrior in Transition' Battalion at Ft. Bragg and have delivered over 200 quilts. We have a goal of 500 quilts.
Major Activity
We have booths on Memorial Day at the American Legion and also at various quilt show venues in the region. We’ve made presentations at the American Legion. Our quilts have also received local media recognition.
Meeting Frequency
We have quarterly meetings to discuss our progress and future projects.
Meeting Venue
We meet at the home of one of our members.
Estimated Time Commitment for Volunteers
We meet quarterly and have group meetings to sew once a month or when people have time.
